Pakistan’s nuclear assets are a ‘guarantee for peace in South Asia’, said former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz

TORONTO – Pakistan’s nuclear assets are a ‘guarantee for peace in South Asia’, said former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, who was here on a weeklong visit. “We as Pakistanis are proud of the assets which we created for ensuring safety, integrity and sovereignty of our country”, he told Voice of America during an interview. Aziz said Pakistan is a responsible country. It’s fully aware that Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities are only for the territorial integrity of the country. He dispelled the notion about the safety of his country’s nuclear warheads and said these are in safe hands. “If we can produce nuclear technology, we know how to secure it”.
