Dr Hasnat talks about Princess Diana's death

TORONTO A famous heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Ahmad Khan, who has been widely identified as an ex-lover and boyfriend of Diana, Princess of Wales, was here recently to attend an international medical conference on heart diseases. Hasnat was reluctant to discuss his relation with late Diana. However, he conceded that he and Diana were good friends. We had friendship because we both were engaged in humanitarian work. Hasnat described Diana's death in an accident as a tragic incident. He also talked about the assassination of Pakistans former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto whose killer is yet to be identified. He freely discussed both unfortunate events while chatting with the newsmen in Mississauga during a lunch hosted in his honour by his childhood friend Melvin John, who is now a cricket organizer in Canada.
