ISLAMABAD Tarck 2 Diplomacy started during Bill Clinton era is now gaining momentum and analysts say it may ultimately help resolve the decades-old Kashmir dispute which has hampered progress and peace in India and Pakistan who both are nuclear powers.
It is for more than ten years now that intellectuals, poets, writers, human right activists, singers, actors, retired diplomats of both India and Pakistan have been visiting each others country to create goodwill and harmony between the people of the two neighboring states. Since their independence from Britain in 1947, India and Pakistan have fought three wars two of them over Kashmir issue. And at one point, the world was fearing a nuclear war in the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent.
Recently, the two leading media groups The Times of India and Jang-Geo TV of Pakistan have launched a vigorous campaign to bring about peace. Its theme is: Aman Ki Asha (Hope for Peace).
